KCBME energized the healthcare sector in 6-8 of April 2008 after organizing a training course titled (Healthcare Facility Technology and Procurement) for Ministry of Health. The course is presented by Eng. Malek El-Hussaini (GE Middle east Sales Manager for Performance Solutions) and Dr. Joel Nobel ( founder of ECRI , a U.S. non profit organization engaged in Health services research).
35 participants including hospital directors, department heads, engineering affairs heads and Biomedical Engineers attended the training course, which highlighted the cutting edge of planning and designing techniques to build a 21 century hospital. Also, topics such as Medical equipment purchasing, tendering and accident investigation are covered intensively.
